Past Workshops

We love looking back through the seasons at our past workshops and the many ways they have brought people together. Each one has left a lasting impression, where people have made new friendships, and felt a deeper sense of community. Explore some of the highlights that have shaped our journey so far.

Christmas is coming up quickly which means that gift buying is becoming a high priority!

Why not spend your Saturday morning at EBCC and learn how to make a Christmas wreath for yourself or a loved one? Handmade gifts are extra special and sentimental!

Join us on Saturday 30th November, 10am-12pm! Stay around for a shared morning tea (provided by EBCC) with your neighbours and make new friendships.

All you have to bring is an idea for a painting and the rest will be provided to you – this includes morning tea too!

AUGUST 2024

This Saturday 3rd August 10am-1pm, we will be holding an extra special workshop where we will be learning the cultural significance of weaving in the Papua New Guinea community & hand-craft a basket from Pandanus & raffia. This session will be guided by Ranu James, a cultural arts practitioner who is originally from Gaba Gaba, Papua New Guinea.

Ranu extends her practice across, music, dance, bilas crafting, storytelling and finding unique ways to continue practicing culture while living in Australia, away from home. Ranu also offers community bilas and bilum ‘weaving and making’ workshops where the spirit of her practice creates space for people to share culture, heal and bond communities – which she often puts down to the power that the act of weaving holds.

All materials and morning tea will be provided by EBCC.
