EBCC Regular Programs
EBCC offers free community programs designed to nurture wellbeing and encourage healthy lifestyle habits. They provide opportunities for people to connect, share new experiences, and build lasting friendships. Whether it’s a seniors’ social group, a children’s play session, or a peaceful sound bath, there’s something for everyone to enjoy – and afterwards, participants are welcome to stay for a free morning tea and friendly chat.
Wise Owls Social Group
Welcome to the Wise Owls Social Group! A friendly and inviting space where seniors can connect, explore Brisbane, and create lasting memories with new friends. Our monthly excursions offer a wonderful opportunity to maintain independence, stay engaged with the community, and enrich overall well-being.
At EBCC, we are dedicated to ensuring equal access for all, which is why we cover the costs of every outing, including transport expenses. We also encourage our Wise Owls to share their interests and suggest new places to visit, making each adventure a collaborative experience.
Join us as we explore Brisbane and create unforgettable moments together!
Sound Bath and Guided Meditation
Our Sound Bath & Guided Meditation sessions offer a peaceful and restorative practice suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. During a sound bath, the vibrations from various instruments work to harmonise the body and mind, fostering deep relaxation and mental clarity. These sound frequencies are thought to realign the body’s energy, helping to release emotions and restore inner balance.
The guided meditation encourages participants to focus on their breath, bodily sensations, or a specific theme – such as a serene landscape or personal intention – further enhancing the experience.
This program is offered free of charge. Join us to relax, rejuvenate, and connect in a supportive, welcoming space. All are welcome!

Walking Pals
Join the EBCC Walking Pals – a vibrant group where everyone is welcome to enjoy a leisurely stroll, no matter your fitness level. Get moving with us on a fun and energising walk starting from the community centre, as we explore beautiful routes like the Kingfisher Creek corridor, Mowbray Park, Hanworth House, and the Logan Road Café precinct. Each walk ends at a local café, where we can unwind and enjoy a warm cuppa together. And if you’d like to continue socialising, feel free to join us for a casual game of cards back at the centre!
Come be part of our weekly walks and conversations across East Brisbane – your next adventure awaits!
Play Sessions
Join us for our delightful Play Sessions, designed especially for children under 5! These fun and engaging gatherings provide a safe space where young children can explore, play, and express themselves.
Each session features age-appropriate activities, including an art and craft component. While there’s a general theme, the sessions are flexible, allowing children to choose activities that suit their developmental stages.
Parents, guardians, and carers are required to supervise their little ones throughout, while also having the chance to connect and form new friendships.
Come along for a joyful time filled with creativity, play, and community connection!
